LOKI | SLIME
CURRENT INFORMATION | IN PROGRESS
● Body Replaced with 'Slime' — Loki is, officially, 100% slime (not including the nucleus). The consistency is such that he can float through water, and even bounce, at the cost of starting to leave residue on objects if he lingers in place too long. Currently, his slime is a sky blue, and his default form (with arms outstretched) includes his wing-membrane, 'boneless' arms, a loosely defined torso, and a relatively detailed head. It allows the look of his cornrows, as well as eyes, mouth, and nose, to take form (though nothing ever creates a hole going inward).

● Nucleus - Resembling an eye of sorts, he often hovers it behind one of his eyes as a 'false' one. However, it often moves according to his emotions, bouncing around when excited, for example. It is approximately the size of a golf-ball. ● Hunger for Flesh & Energy - Loki is able to obtain his fill in two ways; primarily it will be by leeching the fluids and energy from a person after 'inhabiting' them. While he has proven himself able to take in his nutrients from human flesh, slowly dissolving them into his slime...he prefers the method of 'overtaking' another in order to sap their energy, due to the mess the flesh method creates for himself

● Skin Membrane — After a purchase from Tikbalang, Loki came into possession of a stretch of skin between his limbs for use in flight. It has seemingly disappeared for now, but will return once his body becomes more 'realized' in form.

● Mountain Rune — now an under-developed slime, Loki's mountain rune is tricky to see; but the pattern is still present in his realized form, once his slime is no longer tainted by debris. Essentially, the lengthwise pattern acts as though the middle is where his head would come through a poncho.

● Astral Magic — As of August 19th, Loki is a practitioner of Astral Magic, the art of using one's energy to guide and protect others. More information on this magic is located in this comment here.

LOKI | WEREBEAR
CURRENT INFORMATION | TRANSFORMATION COMPLETE
● Sharp fangs — In both night and day forms, Loki has a jaw filled with the teeth of a red panda, the incisors in particular being quite sharp. As the red panda is not a true bear however, it is debated by some if he has 'real bear teeth'; Loki insists that doesn't matter.

● Bear-like Ears, Tail — The traits of the Red Panda cause Loki to bear an incredibly long tail according to his anatomy; one which remains almost as long as his full body in both day and night forms. His ears, as well, resemble those of the panda in both forms. He can swivel them in many directions, and both body parts often move according to his emotions.

● Fur over body — In both day and night forms, Loki is covered in thick gold and rust fur. It covers all but his face, and the fur around the trhoat is especially thick.

● Longer Arms — Again a trait of both forms, Loki's arms are as long as his legs are, and allow him to run on all fours with considerable ease. It makes him look quite lanky, however.

● Increased Size — During the evening, in his 'full werebear form', Loki gains half his size in height. This takes him from a mere 4'8'' to an impressive 7' even, but thanks to his face and generally slim appearance, this does nothing to change how old he looks.

● Large black claws — Both Loki's hands and feet are clawed, with the nails now large, curved black claws instead. His hands and feet are additionally padded, adding protection to the hands.

● Bright Yellow Eyes, Bear Face — Over Loki's face, the fur markings that red pandas are so known for can be seen. Aside from this, he also now has brilliant gold eyes, and a bear-like (or rather, panda-like) nose as well. Notably, these eyes bear a strange digital aspect to them due to his alliance with the 4th God.

● Skin Membrane — After a purchase from Tikbalang, Loki's various forms now bear a skin membrane and extension of cartilage, the latter of which allows Loki to more easily extend the membrane to a length that carries him over the winds (as well as fold it against his body). The membrane carries the rest of his fur pattern, but it is unfortunately quite uncomfortable to keep close too long, and thus forces Loki to wear ponchos over shirts. Naturally, with how the membrane is constructed, he cannot fly while wearing his pants either, making it more of a hassle than anything else.

● Mountain Rune — Loki's runes change across his three forms; over his main form, one struggles to see the full rune until he stretches his full 'wingspan' out, revealing the same pattern as seen on the back of his cards. It is the more complex insignia of Aesir, a great overlay of diamonds that can be seen on both his front and on his back; the markings shine almost like stardust, creating an inversion of the effect on his cards. Aside from this however, lines matching the armor of Aesir as Loptr wore it can be seen over the main body and even tail; because much of this was hidden by numerous other markings on Aesir himself however, Loki is not totally irritated by this fact. In contrast, his fog form bears the full henna-like detail of the markings that Loptr wore over his skin, shining with the same golden light. His travel form, in the meantime, carries a simplified form of Aesir's insignia, again difficult to view unless the full wingspan is stretched.

● Increased Strength/Climbing Ability — As a werebear, Loki stands as one of the strongest of monsters, and is thus able to perform incredible feats of strength. In addition to his existing skills as a fighter, he can throw his weaponized cards with such force that he shatters concrete, and even seems to 'explode' the target to some extent. In addition to this, his ability to scale buildings has improved to an incredible point; something helped by the fact that he can, much like the red panda itself, swivel his ankles right around to better grip what he is climbing.

● Heightened Senses — As a werebear, Loki has incredible night vision, as well as enhanced hearing and smell. The latter is by far the strongest, and he can track prey easily with his nose, with sight and hearing only secondary when it comes to hunting.

● Territorial Instinct — Now that he and Flame Princess have their own home, Loki has become increasingly territorial of the Treehouse. While he's restrained himself from scratching any marks as 'claim', he has a bad habit of wandering around it in his travel mode to rub at the bark as a cat would, leaving his scent everywhere that someone with more sensitive senses can identify it.

● Awareness of the Surroundings — Loki has a natural instinct toward various survival matters, most particularly with his own territory, though the ability extends to other areas. In particular, he has an affinity for naming various plants, and is able to tell if something is edible or drinkable or not.

● Skinchanger Abilities — Thanks to being aligned and adept with the 4th God, Loki is not only able to take off his bearskin and walk as a human child once more, but able to do so for two hours. He needs to keep his skin hidden and safe however; as if he does not reunite with it after those two hours, or keep it safe during that time, he could be severely weakened or even killed.

● Emotive Transformation — While rarely active during the day at all, becoming especially enraged during those hours can promptly `trigger at least partial transformation into his night form. This state becomes more obvious, and dangerous during the fog however; as in this case, the transformation extends to his Fog Form, a state that he tends to otherwise ignore as a follower of the 4th God.

● Transformation Fatigue — As with any were-creature, the transformation to and from his night form is an exhaustive process. While the strength that comes with his night form shrugs off this fatigue, returning to his smaller size takes too much out of him in the end, and Loki often finds himself passed out for at least 6 hours as a result. (He may be roused after this time, but it is rather difficult during the winter months.)

● Hunger — Alongside many monsters of Ryslig, Loki is required to feed on human flesh on a semi-regular basis. Generally Loki keeps this in check quite easily--whenever he makes his rounds for the Lawbringers, he passes by the soup kitchen, and often grabs a bite there to tide himself over. His hunting instincts, generally, are kept in check by the lawbringing habits.

● Silver Weakness — Like all weres, Loki has a severe weakness to Silver; it burns his flesh on contact, and if prolonged contact is made, he could suffer an agonizing poisoning. Silver weapons also cut through his body far easier, and if anything made of silver were to be injested or embedded, he would die that poisoning death at a variable rate.

● Red Panda Form — Loki is able to take a travel form as a were, this form being a 'red panda' bearing his fur colours. About the size of a small cat, and bearing the same wing membranes that he has normally, Loki often uses this form not only to travel, but also to gain an evasive advantage in a fight, or skirt around the daylight reversion of his night and day forms. He is also able to change without losing his clothes as well, making it an even more preferable state. As with any travel form however, strength has been sacrificed for speed; while he can certainly lift plenty, it is easy for another monster to take him down if he is caught.

● Fog Form — Where his travel form is small, his Fog Form is enormous. Large, and almost demonic in shape, his body grows to almost ten feet in height while gaining the girth and muscle to support it. His face and fur patterning give a terrifying appearance to them that far betrays his calm, and what's more is that despite his enormous size and weight, his wing membranes still allow for gliding! As a follower of the 4th however, this form is not as strong as it could be; against a follower of the Fog, he would have to rely on his speed and wits. However, what it lacks in strength it makes up for in 'style'; as the form is decorated with metal, wire, and gold, his form stylized to resemble his very throwing cards.

● Boons from the Fourth God — As a follower of the 4th God, Loki bears numerous magical boons and spells to both reward him and aid him in future efforts. A total list and reference of these non-physical boons and spells can be found in the comment here.

● Astral Magic — As of August 19th, Loki is a practitioner of Astral Magic, the art of using one's energy to guide and protect others. More information on this magic is located in this comment here.

godofnothingness: (Default)
Increased Size & Strength
Standing among some of the strongest monsters, a werebear gains not only impressive strength, but size to match. Not only is Loki on par with other minotaur (or at least, minotaur his age), he's grown by half his size! ...At night, at least. Werebears have a day form and a night form according to their base definition, and Loki for this reason only gains his height when in his night form. Otherwise, no matter how monstrous he is in the daylight-and he is, in fact, exactly as monstrous-he remains as tall as a 13 year old should be.

Fur on the back, shoulders, arms, etc
In both his day form and night form, Loki is absolutely coated in fur. The only parts of him that aren't covered, in fact, are his face; and even then, markings matching those of a red panda are on his face, while his nose bridge is somewhat velvety. This fur matches the patterning of a red panda, but it's significantly lighter-rather than shades of orange to black, Loki is donning shades of gold to orange.

Bear-like Ears, Teeth, & Other Facial Features
Loki has large ears matching the 'bear' he is, ears that are covered in fur and able to swivel. They're grown from where his original ears were, but there are other things about his face that have changed as well. Most obviously, his nose is now panda-like as well, and his eyes are a brilliant gold. His teeth, as well, are those of a panda's-the incisors in particular are large, perfect for biting down and crunching.

Longer, Clawed Arms & Padded Feet
In some failed attempt from his body to become more bear-like, Loki's impressive height is joined by longer arms. While his over all mass is still rather low, giving him a beanpole-appearance, the increase has actually helped him: he is able to run on all fours, something that is helped even more so by the padding on his feet and palms. Much like paws, he also has thick bear claws that can be used for better grip. Not to mention, of course, catching prey.

Increased Climbing Ability & Bear Tail
Climbing is something he was already somewhat good at, but having the claws and strength for it only makes it easier. Loki however is exceptionally skilled in climbing now, easily scaling various walls within a matter of minutes despite it seemingly being impossible to manage. This is perhaps, however, aided by his tail-an incredibly long limb of his, the red-panda tail is able to compensate for what would typically be a loss of balance, something he takes advantage of while running as well.

Heightened Senses & Innate Gut Feeling
Werebears are rather curious when it comes to what they know-Loki in particular is especially skilled with being able to tell what plants do what, aided by his relationship with the Flame Princess. In addition to this however, he gets a Gut Feeling when it comes to the incoming weather, as well as where he should go while moving about in caves or woods, or even cities! This is strongest within the limits of his territory however.

Skinchanging Ability
Loki bears the unique ability to pull off his very monstrous form, that form taking the shape of a pelt. This act is known as 'skin-changing', but it comes at a cost. First, this leaves him very human-and just as vulnerable as one as well. Second, his skin is his lifeline. If he loses his skin, or the skin is harmed, then he will suffer the pain until death. What's more, is that there is a time limit; if he doesn't reunite with the pelt after 1 hour (or 2, due to his adepting with the Fourth), he will also die.

Notably, the pelt resembles the skin of his Fog form.

Travel Form
Being an 'animal' himself, Loki is able to take the form of the animal he represents. ...Mostly. Loki can take the form of a small, young red panda, the fur gold and the face adorable. While in this form he is much weaker in terms of durability-however, in addition to a significant boost of speed, he is also still just as strong, allowing him to do things such as pull carriages. It is easiest for Loki to glide in this form as well, due to his much smaller size.

Emotive Transformation & Territorial Instinct
Bears-and Loki as a consequence-are very well known for their territorial nature. They mark trees, and fiercely defend what is theirs. While Loki does not mark trees (what with sharing housing with a nymph), he does scent mark, rubbing his sides over territorial limits to make himself known. And if someone should intrude on that territory without warning him? Then on their own head be it.

This is even worse in the fog; Loki is only ever in his night form after all, so if the fog rolls in, he is prone to shifting between the two shapes the more enraged he becomes. More anger, more fog-making respecting boundaries even more key!

Post-Transformation Fatigue
Most weres suffer exhaustion after reverting to day form, but Loki takes this to a new level. When Loki takes his day form by way of meeting the sun, he not only collapses and passes out, but in fact remains unresponsive for a whole eight hours. Wishing to avoid this sort of weakness, Loki thus typically sleeps in his travel form, skirting the risk of meeting darkness when the sun touches him.

Silver Weakness
One of few true weaknesses Loki bears, Silver causes a severe, burning pain on contact with his skin. Ingesting silver is likewise, almost undoubtedly lethal; while getting shot doesn't cause as much issue if the bullet goes right through the body, any silver within him causes a severe poisonous reaction that will eventually kill him if not removed and treated for.

Wing-Membrane
A backfire from a purchase made with Tikbalang, all but Loki's 'human' forms bear a large fur covered membrane of skin that goes between his arms and legs. This membrane has an additional extension of cartilage off the wrists that Loki is able to 'flare out', stretching the membrane even further. What this allows is the ability to glide-from any high surface, and most importantly, if the wind declares it.

Mountain God's Runes
Received during Plaga's attempts to aid the monsters and remove them from the Fog God's influence, Loki's runes vary between his travel form and standard form. Most typically they resemble the henna patterns found along Aesir's body, shining thinly in gold and resembling starlight from beneath Loki's fur. In his travel form however, this becomes simplified to Aesir's crest, gleaming off of his back.
RYSLIG INFORMATION PAGE
Modified Fog Form
Perhaps as a way to make things 'somewhat' easier, Loki's fog form is less voltile than it could be, and he is actually able to focus rather easily on any tasks at hand while taking it. This is despite the form typically only being accessed by Loki when he feels angry, and this fact could perhaps be the 4th's fault. As such, the touch of Elias can be seen all over Loki; aside from his body resembling his own art works, he now bears various lines of gold and iridescence, stretches of metal and marble over his body giving him an 'angelic' appearance.

Adept Spell - Cassandra's Sleep
As a hold over from his siding with the 4th God during the old boons and protecting his own, Loki gained two spells as an 'Adept'. The first of them is the ability to sleep away most wounds, even healing lost limbs by connecting them together. The more severe the injury, the more he must sleep in his vulnerable state, but a benefit to it is that he is able to see the future in his dreams. A shame, then, that no one would believe what he says! The use of this spell sadly makes him quite hungry, so he must take care not to over use it.

Adept Spell - Skin-Changer
As a hold over from his siding with the 4th God during the old boons and protecting his own, Loki gained two spells as an 'Adept'. His second spell is an extension of his natural ability to skinchange, first manifesting as an extra hour of time on his regular limits. However, by taking a sample of someone's blood, or their most precious thing, he can alternatively spend a single hour shapeshifting as someone else!

Tier 1 Spell - 'The Truth'
By using one of his original Tarot cards, the 'Fool' with a hole through it, Loki is able to find the 'truth' of things. By putting energy through the card, he can find hidden locations, and even decode runes and ciphers...or at least, sometimes.

Tier 2 Spell - PENDULUM SUMMON- 5 Card Hand
Loki is, quite simply, able to create five 3D illusions (illusions, not solid objects) to act as some sort of distraction or otherwise. He cannot create entire rooms naturally, but other creatures, or even a single blanket disguise over himself with focus, is plenty possible. Unfortunately, on top of only being a visual illusion, he can only re-create himself in 'blue'.

Immediate Arcade Revival
Should Loki die for whatever reason, is immediately recovered, reviving within the Arcade inside his own bed.

Protection of the Neutral
Having requested it of Elias, the 4th God offers protection to Flame Princess should the nymph 'need' it; this means that Flame Princess is able to revive within the arcade, and thus determine that she will in fact return to a safe place when she revives. The resurrection is additionally immediate.

Network Access & Death Counter
There is a small skull beneath the standard settings of Loki's laptop, which bears the number '2' beside it. This number represents how many times he has died, and as such increases if he meets death again.

Arcade Bedroom
Loki's bedroom is decently sized, and rather soundly represents his newfound loyalty to the 4th God as his 'friend'. A 'card-table' for his duel monster cards is there, and Elias consistently plays with him at this table, allowing him to not only improve his illusionary abilities by projecting the cards, but even giving him the opportunity to beef up his deck with new ones as Elias himself tries out cards of his own design.
RYSLIG INFORMATION PAGE
General Appearance
Loki is, in general, something of a mess. His cornrows are less cornrows and now messy braids, and his clothes even seem to constantly be hashed together at the last minute. Loki is always on the go after all-there is always something he's up to, whether it's patrolling the streets, or helping new arrivals. And if there's work to be done, then there's not much time to bother with his looks now is there?

Grooming Routine
Unkempt as he typically looks, Loki does in fact keep clean. He washes and shampoos his hair every day, dries off his fur properly, and regularly washes his clothes. Brushing in particular is important-it keeps his fur from matting up horribly, and his hair doesn't braid itself!

Daily Wardrobe
Clothing is something of a battle for Loki-while he was intending to get some things tailored some time before, the tailors themselves seem to have gone home, leaving him with what he was able to make for himself! What this consists of are over-alls with slits in the sides and buttons at the ankles, meant to be able to stand properly in place if he shifts between day and night forms. He also typically wears a large poncho over this, the inside of which is riddled with pockets that he keeps stocked with herbs and other knickknacks and weapons.

Sleep Wear & Habits
Due to his severe weakness to sun exposure, and the amount of room in the treehouse, Loki has found something of a compromise through his travel form. By taking travel form, he doesn't have to switch to day form-and in doing so, he's free to sleep the day away without risking the inability to wake up in an emergency!

As for where he sleeps, it's where 'Jake the Dog' would have stayed in the treehouse's original home. Loki has the dresser drawer filled right up with blankets and pillows and even a few of his hoarded stuffed animals, all there to keep him company through his slumber.

Feeding Habits
Loki tries to feed rather regularly, despite only needing to eat meat twice a month; since he still continues his patrols of Bavan and Vandare to beat down crime, he still makes regular drop-offs at the Soup Kitchen-as such, he gets a bowl whenever he's there, typically resulting in watered down meat every 3 days.
RYSLIG INFORMATION PAGE
Death Count : 2 | Kill Count : 2
Loki has died twice thus far in Ryslig, but has not forgotten anything as a result just yet.
  • His first death came while coming to defend Yuugo in his fight against Yuriika-as Yuriika was at the time a vampire, he managed to (as a gargoyle) burn her to death in his final moments, marking his first kill as well.
  • Loki's second kill was during the 'Vows' event, when he was paired with a man named Jowan-he came up upon the arachne while in the woods, and killed him swiftly.
  • His second death on the other hand was accidental; during a failed attempt to break numerous humans out from the depths of the Insect Empire, Loki lent Steve his pelt for the sake of a cover, before hiding himself elsewhere. As Steve's plan was quickly found out and put to a halt, Loki never reunited with his pelt, dying painfully as a result.
  •
    Coin Count : 140
Loki has bought many things in Ryslig, many with their own backfire; aside from his deck of throwing cards (20), he also used coins to unintentionally purchase his wing membrane (80) as a backfire in receiving gifts for his friends. He also purchased a set of 'gun clips' for Shingo (20), devices that attach to his feet and allow him to shoot guns from them.

Noted Items Loki has in Ryslig
  • Tetrahedron Pendant & Jewelry - A large pendant of gold that Loki had from home. It is covered in various patterns, and carried on a chain of triangles. Similar marked triangles make up his two bracelets, as well as the 'clips' that enclose his cornrows.
  • Wendigo Antler Headband & (Yuuya's) Naga Snakeskin Curtains - The antlers were what Loki received through a trade with the Monster Parts woman at the Harvest Festival; the curtains however were made by hand using half of Yuuya's snakeskin, with the other half being donated to the woman at Yuuya's request.
  • Duel Monsters Deck - A gift from Yuugo while the duelist was there, Loki's deck of cards has a few new additions courtesy of his duels against Elias; they consist of Magispecter and Maju cards.
  • 'Panda Express' - A normal horse-wagon, which Loki has outfitted with an altered harness, and painted rain cover. The wagon is used to transport people from Vandare to Bavan and other locations, to make arrivals have an easier time of things.
  •
Noted Items Loki has Received through Tikbalang & Mana
  • While Loki has purchased a few goods, the most noted of them are his deck of throwing tarot cards. While he has had others crafted for him by Shulk, the original 21 'Major Arcana' were purchased back through Tikbalang, and seem to be somewhat stronger than the others.
  •
    Loki's Tree
Technically Flame Princess' tree, it was purchased by her through Tikbalang as a backfire from when she requested her palace. The tree once belonged to her ex-boyfriend, and it occasionally speaks to her (as she's a nymph). Loki in particular has marked it as his 'territory' however, and occasionally slips and refers to the great living monstrosity as 'his'...despite sleeping in the dresser drawer.

    Loki's Daily Activities
Loki's typically restricted to the evenings by way of sheer exhaustion, regardless of his travel mode 'cheat'-but that does not mean it he doesn't occasionally wander in the day light. As Loki doesn't have a set job, he tends to move more on autopilot; every other evening, he patrols either Bavan or Vandare for criminal activity, occasionally running errands while he does so. The other evenings are his 'days off', which he spends doing anything from sparring in his new arena, to playing games in the arcade (either with or without Elias). He's a social sort, and likes to help-most notably, every arrival period he can be seen carting people too and fro with his wagon.
    RYSLIG INFORMATION PAGE
    Kulen Parasite Event
During the Sun Festival in Kulen, Loki became infected by parasitic insects due to his attempts to save others in the temple; even only partway through, the insect has twisted his form to a considerable extent. Thus far, the side effects of his infection are as follows: Phase 1
  • A wish to hunt humans more often, with increased urgency. The hunt gives him a 'high', and gives him more energy. (Mental)
  • The urge to trigger emotive transformation more often, seeking out reasons to do so (Fog Only). (Mental)
  • Unable to tolerate anyone in their territory apart from the monsters they are already friendly toward. (Mental)
  • A friendliness toward other werebears, as well as werewolves, nymphs, and mer. (Mental)
  • A dislike toward goblins, kelpies, manticore, and trolls. (Mental)
  • Larger Ears (Physical)
  • Larger Fangs (Physical)
  • Larger Claws (Physical)
  • Increased Muscle Mass (noted, but not intense) (Physical)

    Phase 2

  • A great urge to hunt as much as possible, gaining greater pleasure from hunting unsuspecting victims and obtaining massive amounts of energy as a result. (Mental)
  • A need to protect any friends, even if they require no aid. They are enraged at any amount of harm brought to them, major or minor, regardless of the source. (Mental)
  • The urge to be active at night as much as possible; they view their human form as 'weak', avoiding skinwalking as much as possible (manifests only in the latter, due to his fatigue limits). (Mental)
  • Friendship toward other Werebears, Werewolves, Nymphs, and Mer. (Mental)
  • Large increase in height (All Noted Heights > +2 feet) (Physical)
  • Increased Muscle Mass (Loki now physically resembles Loptr in build) (Physical)
  • Lumps form over the eyebrows and head. (Physical)
  • All teeth grow even larger, with fangs protruding from lips. His saliva becomes poisonous, burning others at the touch. (Physical)
  • Increased amount and density of fur on the body; notably, there is more fur creeping into Loki's face, and from his nose. (Physical)

    Phase 3

  • Compass-like sense of direction, becoming able to naturally point north...or get disoriented by magnets. (mental)
  • A need to fight as long as possible once a battle begins, throwing himself into a frenzy until stopped. (mental)
  • Impressive loyalty toward those he is close to, to the point where he will hunt and fight for them. (mental)
  • The need to sleep in a tree hollow rather than his dresser drawer. (mental)
  • Discomfort in human form, to the point of aggression when asked to don it. (mental)
  • Adoration toward werebears, werewolves, nymphs, mer, & gargoyles (mental)
  • A Final Increase in Height (Night form moves from approx. 9 ft to 10ft, fog from 12ft to 13ft) (physical)
  • Lumps over head become gold & ivory-like growths resembling a crown, or helm (physical)
  • Ribs & Spine grow and protrude from his body, resembling golden armor that matches his bone growths (physical)
  • Teeth are harder and sharper, with jaw strength making his bite akin to a bear trap (physical)
  • Muscle mass increases further (Loki physically resembles an actual bear due to his size and girth), strength increases to the point of denting pavement while walking (physical)
  • Fur becomes hard and stiff along the back and skull, creating quills of sorts (physical)
  • Loki's fur gives off stardust in a sense, and gives off an alluring aurora during clear evenings (physical)
  •
    Control of Center Event
During the terrorist attack staged by the Bloody Bones, Loki attempted to help with the rescue of victims from the Hospital Attack, which transformed the entire building into living, feeding flesh. While Loki himself was initially as unchanged as all others in the area, his paws (feet included) eventually mutated into panda faces, with functioning jaws.

    Plaga's Peak Event
During Plaga's monster alteration event, Loki took the form of a Gargoyle. His features and wings greatly resembled the angel Glamor, the very being that swallowed him once before he arrived in Ryslig. There were even various marble faces over his wings and body, their eyes staring outward. During this time, he became an adept of the fourth god, and was able to spit ice as well as fire.

Aside from this, noted features Loki bore were his mountain rune-which lit up to such brilliance that he created a spotlight-and his hoarding habit, which focused on stuffed animals. He managed to spend every cent he had on them, leading the the Tikbalang Quest that would end in his wing membrane. Interestingly, breaking out from his statue form and awaking in his bear form marks the only time his statue form did not simply shimmer and fade away; rather, all of the gold, marble, and jewelry that formed his statue self remained, allowing him to obtain fresh funding for what he needed. More details on this form of Loki can be found here.

    The Fourth Wall
When Loki first arrived in Ryslig, it was during the 4th's attempt to gain an edge over the Fog, by bringing in his own human warriors. These people each took the form of one of five classes of 'zombie', with Loki in particular becoming a 'Vengeance' Zombie. His arms were as long as his legs, and his body devoid of all biological needs and fluids despite a beating heart. The eyes of his whites went black, his teeth sharp, and his skin pallor, as if dead. Most curiously however was that his hair grew out until it was long past the ground, and it constantly dripped water as if soaked. He could even teleport between bodies of water.

While in this state, Loki fed on energy-he did so by pulling others into televisions, much like the device he appeared in himself. To aid in this hunt, he had the ability to seek out 'justice'...at least according to his morals. Complete information on his Zombie form is located here.

    CONTACTS

Pretty sure there was only one person back home I could count on this much; then again, I've known them a lot more than two days! I get the feeling that if anything happened to one of these guys, I'd have to try something.

Can't say I know this lot as well as some, but I still know them, and they're still pretty damn cool in my opinion. Definitely the sort I want to see again.

I mean sure I ran into these guys, maybe even traded names and what-not, but that doesn't mean I know much more than that. There's a damn load of humans in the world you know.

    ONLINE

Got the feeling that I'd be getting a different impression if I saw these folks in person. Hell, I don't even really know them to begin with! Just had a good chat, you know?

    Fuck 'Em

Just fuck these guys in particular. Or avoid them. At least. (Really, it's just better for my neck in the end)

    HOW'S MY DRIVING
LOKI | SLIME | FOURTH ALIGNED

    BAVAN RESIDENT

    PERMISSIONS

    * FOURTH-WALLING -- Preferably not, though referencing 'other' (IE traditional Norse) Lokis and 'Aesir' is very welcome.
    * BACKTAGGING -- Perfectly fine! Threadhops are also ok if all involved agree!

    * HUGGING/GRABBING -- Considering the fact that it's commonplace in his canon to be snatched up and off, I am generally okay with this; be warned that he WILL likely protest however.
    * INJURY -- PM first if it goes beyond minor cuts and scrapes (so like broken bones or leeched energy). Goes without saying that any actual dying means heavy plotting.
    * MIND READING/SIMILAR -- Loki has quite a lot of unique information stored away in his mind now that he has his memories as Aesir restored, so be sure to ask ahead of time!
    * ROMANCE -- While clearly aware and likely capable, he is physically 15 going on 16; thus, should he come into any relationship, it would preferably be in his 'age bracket', and thus never go any further than perhaps kissing. (And it will not likely come swift)

    WARNINGS

Loki has the tendency to curse profusely, and while capable of exercising tact, will likely start first with his foot in his mouth. He also has the habit of referring to women as 'love' (or in the case of those who he already either isn't getting along with, or wants little to do with, a more derogatory 'girl'), and men as 'mate'. He will ICly change this if convinced, but otherwise, if this bothers you, be sure to let me know and I will make sure to watch his tongue.

Do you have questions or concerns about Loki's character? Potential squicks or phobias you wish to address so that they're avoided in the future? Leave a comment here, and I'll make sure to keep that in mind.

Additionally, if you wish to do some plotting beyond game events, you can leave a note here for that as well. Just leave a comment below, and I'll get to it ASAP!

Please note that this page will be updated as Loki's location, appearance, and deity alliance change.

    OOC INFORMATION
    Name: Usagi
    Contact: Plurk (usagisquared)
    Other Characters: Reira Akaba

    CHARACTER INFORMATION
    Character Name: Loki (Aesir)
Age: Arguably as old as human creation | appears (and often acts) 12
    Canon: Bayonetta 2
Canon Point: Post Game, as he turns into blue dust prepares to be reborn
    Character Information: Here!

    Personality:
As one can imagine with a character named 'Loki', he is a rather tricky sort indeed. When it comes to dodging around the answers that others seek, he is quite skilled in doing a bit of verbal footwork--does he know the one you seek? Well that depends, just who are they? As skilled as he is at this however, he has his limits, and these limits arguably form the core of his very being.

Loki is known as the 'Good half', the 'Better half', of Aesir, the god of Chaos who once ruled over and created humanity. When split in two, Loki thus represented the side of Aesir which believed in humans and believed in the idea of humans choosing their own destiny--this can be seen manifested in his very decisions at the end of the game, where he has regained his memory as this half of Aesir. Destroying the very tools which created the world he states that 'any good card player is a gambler'--he will risk things all or nothing, both in cards and in reality, and he does so with confidence and faith.

As much as he has this faith however, he does still have his caution. While he has perhaps gained more security in his identity as 'Aesir', as Loki he was alone--unable to contact humanity, and unable to speak with anyone but the angels which attacked him, as well as himself. Aside from leaving him with something of a habit of speaking to himself (commenting on things such as the persistance of his opponents, or his need to complete his own goals--thoughts out loud, in other words), this also left him with a difficulty in trusting others, or at least to start. When it comes to Loki after all, things cannot be taken at face value; he goes along with Bayonetta's deal early on, true, but he is absolutely ready and willing to abandon her to pursue his own goals at that time, at least until he comes to know her more as a person.

For all the willingness he has here, he seems easily swayed or convinced nonetheless (at least by those who aren't attempting to spear him through the chest). It can be argued that his very nature allows him to have a feel for the truth of character in these cases; while he very openly states that he doesn't trust Bayonetta at the start ('C'mon, love! Y-you think I'm just gonna tell you my secrets when I don't even know whose side you're on?!'), he also gives her information and cooperation nonetheless after all. Moreover, Bayonetta only needs to share her own history once, without any difficulties in doing so (with her own past being similar to Loki's in that she briefly forgot much of her origins) before Loki admits to his own memory dillemma. He even takes her words about 'believing in what feels right' to heart, and seems to lose much of the apprehension that he had for his flashes of memory at that point. (Soon after this, when he has a headache and remembers something, he does not pause to question it, instead acting on it immediately.)

Relating to his slips of honesty in his lies, he can very easily be pressured and defensive. He talks a big game--snarking back and forth with others easily ('Just because you asked, tall, dark, and ugly. That makes total sense.')--but when it comes to danger, or personal barbs toward him, he gets nervous. It shows in his face, and in a stutter as well as the boy becomes flustered. It isn't without trying at least, however--and for all his unease, he will continue to talk, as well as fight if the situation calls. It takes something truly personal for him to clam up...or at the least, being ignored. (As an example, when called a child, he immediately sputters, exclaiming that he's 'not a child!'...as Bayonetta says nothing else to him after that however, he says nothing more.)

Language is but one key part of his character, albeit a telling one however. Wordy as he is, he is also very rash, and incredibly straightforward when it comes to his goals, something reflected in the more crass and slang filled aspects of his speech. He can be flippant and dismissive for other people's needs and wants, true--but when it comes to his own (and by extension, those of any he becomes directly concerned with), it is another story. Loki is incredibly dedicated to his goals, and becomes quite irritated when pulled off the course of them. It literally takes a battle between another 'god' and sage to get him not to leave Bayonetta at hell's gates in order to pursue his need to reach Fimbulventr, as at this time, he has deemed their deal 'complete'. While it is likely that such dedication was in part driven by his later realization of the stakes (namely all of existence), it is still clear in the game that he sticks quite stubbornly to other goals nonetheless, even on the pain of death. As Bayonetta puts it, he risks all for nothing, such as can be seen when he (albeit under the incorrect impression at this time) protects his knowledge of Bayonetta's identity and location from the masked Lumen Sage ('Sorry, mate, but I haven't the fucking slightest. Haven't seen her in ages. Besides, even if I knew, she and I have a special relationship.')

It's a curious sort of loyalty that he has, in that regard. Loki has, image of self-centered bravado aside, quite an honorable attitude toward things. In greater extremes this can be seen in the above note of the Sage's encounter, but it can even be seen in Bayonetta's very treatment of the boy; during numerous stretches of the game, he is hiding away in her shirt, in the form of a flying squirrel--and while there can be questions to his intentions when he leaps out at Luka after the man begins staring at Bayonetta's breasts, the fact that he immediately recognizes Luka as 'that guy who was staring at Bayonetta's tits', and adds that Luka needs to learn how to act around a lady, says that Loki at the very least exercises a good amount of courtesy for those he's familiar with and fond of. (...not that he tones down his language, ever.)

All in all, Loki is honestly a very kind boy, as expected of the 'good half' of Aesir. He can lie all he wants, but his emotions and expressions give him away just as they would a child, and his sarcastic commentary and flashy card-based attacks only bring him so far. He is certainly very crass, and large headed however, speaking even after he's aware he's over his head, but he is intelligent--and he knows how to use those words to at least try and get him out of a situation. While his overconfidence may fail him at times, he does in the end at least mean well--though 'meaning well' is still very much focused only on those he's bothered getting to know. Though he has a sense of personal space, he does not do well with exercising proper tact--seen in his language, his careless behaviors, and his tendency to run ahead while shouting 'try to keep up!'. His strengths are his weaknesses, and his weaknesses are his strengths; just as his words get him in trouble before they even get him out of it, he tends to get himself deeper into trouble before he can figure out a way out. As he so puts it, any good card player is a gambler--and every gambler saves their best card, their trump, for the last. In this way, Loki can be seen as a vindictive (as it is in these moments that he is specifically cursing Loptr, his dark half's, name, and preparing to absolutely bring about his end)--when he is facing someone more powerful than himself, he does not merely bow to that might, but he finds a way around that power. Such extremes are not taken on those whom he merely holds ill opinion of of course, but when it comes to a major threat he does not sit idle. Loki observes, and seeks his openings out--and he takes them, without hesitation. It call comes down to 'all or nothing' for him in the end.

But then again, as the 'God of Nothing', it is perhaps fitting that he risk so much without knowing if he'll get any more than that for sure.
